20 December 2006 - I came across an interesting plugin called Delicious Cached ++ by João Craveiro. At first glance the code looks clean and it uses Wordpress’ built in Magpie RSS to handle the feed. It is quite easy to configure as I had to double check to see if the output really came from the new plugin.
Don’t freak out when you see that Craveiro’s site is in Portuguese, the plugin itself is commented in English and also uses English names for the variables.
And now, we wait. My previous plugin worked now and then. Let’s see if this one can provide a more steady supply of links all day long.

I still can not believe that I have such a hard time finding a Del.icio.us Wordpress plugin that is easy to install, easy to configure and does not have (m)any dependencies. I suppose there must be hundreds of them out there, but they seem to be hiding from me quite effectively.
My current plugin is a slightly modified version of Chris Metcalf’s, but it has its ups and downs and lately often refuses to grab and display the feed at all.
Anyway, while I continue my search I would appreciate any recommendations you may have.

Hrm, it’s working again.
Still I am open to all del.icio.us plugin suggestions.

It looks like that plugin makes a tag cloud available. Unfortunately my tags aren’t so interesting, but my latest tagged links are.

Yes it is a tag cloud. I think this would be nice to see here. What should the plugin to do for you?

Well I would love to get a list of recently bookmarked pages like I have now on the side there. But one that doesn’t quit on me all the time
I seem to have found what seems a worthy replacement. See my update in the post.

As long as del.icio.us is running, del.icio.us cached++ will do its work.

Thank you for the compliments; any trouble you run into, don’t be shy to complain to me — it’s been almost one year since the latest version, so surely there must be something to do there.
P.S.: Love your layout.

Thanks João, so far your plugin seems to be performing flawlessly.
